I have been a research assistant in the Science Communication sub-project since April 2026, having previously worked on the project as a student assistant for two and a half years. As the producer and host of the podcast “Sone & Solche” and as the coordinator of our social media presence, I ensure that the research content of the Collaborative Research Centre is made visible to the wider public. It is important to me to provide lively insights into the day-to-day life of scientific research and to make this work accessible.

During my Master’s degree in Media and Cultural Studies, my work in this field led me to engage more deeply with the translation work involved in science communication. Whether it’s the visual presentation of publications on Instagram, the transformation of practices of differentiation into exhibition pieces on campus, or chance conversations with a non-academic audience at the Mainz Science Market – science communication takes place in all these moments. The Collaborative Research Centre and the topic of human differentiation are particularly fascinating because the subjects and their interconnections are tangible and relatable to many people.
