Former Academic Staff | Mobility and Sorting Processes
I was an academic staff member at the Leibniz Institute of European History from 2021 to 2025 and am working on my dissertation within the project B05 about “Legal-Bureaucratic Human Categorization in the Postwar Period: From 'Displaced Persons' to 'Refugee'". During the academic year 2023-2024 I was also the USC Shoah Foundation’s Robert J. Katz Research Fellow in Antisemitism Studies.
I studied history and German philology as well as educational studies at Georg-August-University Goettingen and at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Whilst studying I was a student assistant for a German medieval dictionary, the Arolsen Archives and the chair of theory and methods of history in Goettingen. After my studies I worked as substitute teacher as well as an academic staff member for the Federal Archive of Saxony-Anhalt where I created a teaching material on Jewish history of the state.
My research interests focus on the history of migration, Jewish history, Holocaust Studies and didactics of history.
