Since 2021, I have been a research assistant at the Leibniz Institute for European History and am working on my dissertation in sub-project B05 "Legal-bureaucratic human differentiation in the post-war period. From 'Displaced Persons' to 'Refugees'". In the academic year 2023-2024, I am the Robert J. Katz Research Fellow in Antisemitism Studies at the USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles.
I studied History and German Philology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During my studies I was a student assistant for the Middle High German Dictionary, the Arolsen Archives and the Chair for Theory and Methods of Historical Studies in Göttingen. After completing my studies in 2021, I was initially a substitute teacher as well as a research assistant at the Saxony-Anhalt State Archives in the project "Jewish Life as a Building Block of Holistic Education. Sources on Jewish History in Saxony-Anhalt".
My research interests are in the field of the history of migration, Jewish history, Holocaust studies and the didactics of history.
